My name is Carla, and I started Cara Monte. I am 17 years old, a dressage rider and attend Jesper Buch's Entrepreneurial Academy every day.
I have been riding since I was little, and horses have always been my escape from the busy everyday life. Today I have my own beautiful Danish Warmblood of 10 years old – Our Bruno signature breeches are named after my former horse, who we unfortunately had to say goodbye to - I still think of him often, and therefore it is a way to honor him.
The idea for Cara Monte came about because, like so many other riders, I was frustrated that riding breeches either tightened in the wrong places, had annoying seams, or just never felt quite right. I tried countless brands, but none could give me the comfort and freedom of movement I dreamed of. So I decided to do something about it myself.
After closing my first company, Snack Tree, in 2021, I slowly started working on Cara Monte. I wanted to create breeches that combine functionality, comfort and a modern look – without compromising on quality. Every detail is well thought out because I know how much it means for the clothes to feel right when you are in the saddle and not least in the stable.
Cara Monte is my vision of how riding breeches should feel: Light, comfortable and adapted to the rider's everyday life, whether you are riding at events or just enjoying a walk in the woods. I hope you will love them as much as I do.
